Dreams
Visions
They’re entitled “Dreams” and “Visions,” respectively. They are also part of a larger body of work of mine that deals with identity, race and cultural legibility. As a person born in Zimbabwe, and raised in South Africa, Ivory Coast and Tunisia, I have always had to negotiate my own identities in different racial/ethnic/national/cultural terrains and these works are about that tension.
